What We Ask of Ambassadors
- Keep your Academy Safe membership active
- Post about Academy Safe at least twice per month on Instagram, as Collab posts with @academysafe
- Posts on other platforms are welcome as a bonus
- Turn on Instagram’s Paid partnership label and add a clear disclosure to every caption
- Follow the Ambassador Content Guidelines
- Send us your post links once a month through a short check-in form
Ambassador Rewards
A referral is one person, not a whole academy. Each new owner, coach, or staff member whose membership is paid for at least one year counts as one referral, so an academy that joins with an owner and three coaches counts as four. Referred academies do not need full accreditation to count.

How Commissions Work
Ambassadors earn 5% of paid memberships they refer, including annual renewals and coaches and staff a referred academy adds later. At 30 qualifying referrals, the rate increases to 10%. Commissions are paid monthly by PayPal, and balances under $20 roll forward. Donations, grants, sponsorships, and purchases from the Academy Safe store, including apparel and other merchandise, do not earn commission.
Commissions and rewards do not apply to any academy you own, co-own, work at, or have a financial interest in, including its coaches and staff.
Listed Is Not the Same as Accredited
Every ambassador’s academy is listed in the Martial Arts Safety Registry and the Academy Safe Ambassadors section once the background check is passed. The listing then shows what else we have verified so far. Owners are verified across all 8 Pillars of Protection. Coaches and staff are verified across the 5 Essential Safety Pillars.
Accreditation is separate. An academy is marked Accredited only after the owner and every staff member, including coaches, employees, and volunteers, complete the full verification process.
Youth Ambassador Program
Young martial artists under 18 are welcome. A parent or guardian signs up and works with us directly.
- Open to kids and teens under 18 who are actively training
- A parent or legal guardian applies and signs the terms
- If the platform or your state’s law does not allow an account at the child’s age, the parent owns and runs the account
- The account needs at least 1,000 Instagram followers
- No Academy Safe membership or background check required
- We communicate only with the parent, and all commissions and rewards go to the parent until the child turns 18
- First names or nicknames only, with no school, address, or real-time location in posts
- Same posting, disclosure, and content rules as all Ambassadors, with an Academy Safe gear bundle at 20 referrals

What is the Academy Safe Ambassador Program?

Do I need to be an Academy Safe member?
Yes. Ambassadors must have a paid Academy Safe membership and have gone through the 8 Pillars of Protection as an owner, or the 5 Essential Safety Pillars as a coach or staff member. Membership is not provided free to ambassadors. Purchase your membership from our membership packages, complete your Background Screening and verification, then come back to apply.
How is an ambassador different from an affiliate?
Ambassadors have their own Ambassador Dashboard and login, separate from affiliates, and both earn on the memberships they refer. Ambassadors are also verified members with at least 1,000 Instagram followers who post about Academy Safe on Instagram twice a month. In return, they earn tiered rewards, a higher commission rate at 30 referrals, and recognition in the Ambassadors section.
What counts as a qualifying referral?
One person, not a whole academy. Each new academy owner, coach, or staff member whose membership is paid for at least one year counts as one referral. The referred academy does not need to complete full accreditation. Memberships for an academy you own, co-own, work at, or have a financial interest in do not count.

Does my academy become accredited when I become an ambassador?

What counts as one of my two monthly posts?
A feed post, Reel, TikTok, YouTube video, or similar public post that mentions Academy Safe, includes your link or tag, and is clearly disclosed. On Instagram, posts must be Collab posts with @academysafe. Stories alone do not count.
I am under 18. Can I take part?
Yes, through the Youth Ambassador Program. A parent or legal guardian applies and signs up for you. If you are too young for your own account under the platform’s rules or your state’s law, your parent or guardian must own and run the account you post from. We work only with your parent or guardian, and any commissions or rewards go to them until you turn 18. At 18, you can apply to the Affiliate Program or the Ambassador Program in your own name.
Does my child need an Academy Safe membership or background check?
No. Youth Ambassadors do not need a membership or a background check. The parent or guardian completes the application and the Youth Ambassador consent and media release.
What happens if I cannot keep up with the posting requirement?
We will send a reminder first. After two missed months in a row, three in a year, or a lapsed membership, you move to the standard Affiliate Program. You keep your referral link and the commissions you earned, and keep earning 5% on eligible referrals. You no longer receive Ambassador rewards, and you can reapply later.
How do I get paid?
Commissions are paid monthly by PayPal. Balances under $20 roll forward to the next month.
